Cloud Jack of all trades (master of some). Wannabe system developer, all-terrain sysadmin, up and coming DevOps engineer, buzzword mixer, configuration entangler, web developer, script kid, firewall destroyer, automation magician and hedgehog owner. Whatever IT throws at me, I’ll find a workaround (ง ͡ʘ ͜ʖ ͡ʘ)ง
ECS Europe Ltd.
Enterprise Cloud Consultant • March 2018 - Present
Working as an on-site, project-focussed cloud consultant for mainly financial institutions, I try to deliver value to our clients through tech-enabling teams, promoting devops methodologies, automating resource provisioning and deployments. I also work as a cloud solution architect when a project requires. I enjoy this position greatly as I feel it meets my desire to work on fixed-term engagements and slightly further away from operations (where I spent a good portion of my career prior), but still being able to deliver additional value through my experience from there.
Senior Cloud Engineer • Oct 2016 - March 2018
With Aridhia, I was working mostly on enhancing operational tooling used within the company. Can't say in detail what I've been doing due to the work involving healthcare and other stakeholders, but generally it was configuration management through automation, containerization, operations work and private to public cloud migration.
Cloudreach Europe Ltd.
DevOps Engineer • Jan 2015 - Oct 2016
Cloudreach taught me the most of my cloud skillset, that I'm still using actively to this day. I've learnt a lot about public cloud and did my first set of certifications there. I've mostly worked on operations tasks, carrying out work on managed stacks for customers. I've worked extensively with Chef for configuration management and Splunk for monitoring. Had several customer-facing tasks too, so keeping in touch with customers and being on-site from time-to-time is something I've done here as well.
I assessed myself for the below skills, so it's really up to you if you accept it to be accurate :)
- Cloud Security
- Docker (swarm / rancher / engine)
- Cloud Foundry
- git + scripting languages (Ruby, shell, PowerShell)
- Config Management (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, etc)
- IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Automation (Jenkins, Concourse, TeamCity, Circle, etc.)
- Operating systems (Linux / Windows / BSD / embedded)

While working for Renault Hungary Ltd. I attempted to take on a BSc degree in Software Engineering, however I was unable to attend the day courses while I was in a full-time employment (excuses, excuses, I know.... ;)) If I ever get around to it again, I'll try to finish it.
